Software is the most affordable means of technical ActOfCreation. The barrier-to-entry requires a computer (any will do, even an Amiga) and electricity.

Creating software is fun because:

1. Instant feedback, programmer see stuff move on screen, programmer happy.
2. Software has users, this gives it purpose and meaning.

I started programming in ScratchMitEdu, which lead to GoboScript.
